Frequently Asked Questions

How many country flags are included in this quiz?

This quiz uses the commonly referenced 195-country set: the 193 United Nations member states plus the Holy See (Vatican City) and the State of Palestine.

What makes Hard mode harder than Easy or Medium?

Hard mode uses visually similar patterns, colors and layouts to offer closer answer choices. Easy starts with familiar flags and more distinct alternatives; Medium offers a broader worldwide mix.

Can I play without a countdown timer?

Yes. The timer is off by default, so you can play at your own pace. Turn on the optional 15-second timer before your round for an extra challenge. After each answer or timeout, the timer pauses until you choose Next Flag.

How does the "Practice My Mistakes" feature work?

Incorrect answers and timed-out flags are kept for your current round. Choose Practice My Mistakes on the results screen to play those missed flags again. Each flag appears once in the practice round, and you can repeat any you still miss.

Are the questions and answer positions randomized?

Yes. Each new round shuffles the selected flags and the four answer positions. No flag repeats within a round. All 195 includes every country once, at any difficulty.

Are territories and dependent regions included?

Dependent territories and overseas regions are not included in the standard 195-country mode. The quiz focuses on the conventional country set rather than territory or dependency flags.
